Getting Started

Who can I contact if I have questions about my account?

Answers to many questions can be obtained by reviewing the RevenueWire Member Discussion Forum. General questions about your account can also be directed to our affiliate managers via http://www.affiliate-wire.com/affiliate-managers/.

I am just starting out in affiliate marketing. What resources do you have to help me get going?

You’ve come to the right place! The Source is our resource and tutorial center where you can find information on everything you need to know about the network, how to use the dashboard, getting-started and advanced techniques in affiliate marketing as well as links to industry resources to help you get started. If you have any questions that aren’t answered in The Source, don’t hesitate to contact our team of helpful affiliate managers via http://www.affiliate-wire.com/affiliate-managers/.

What type of affiliate marketing network is AffiliateWire?

AffiliateWire is a network that specializes in digital products ranging from software, to online marketing tools and services, to forex products, mobile offers, penny auctions and much more.

How do I become an AffiliateWire affiliate?

Becoming a member of AffiliateWire is 100% free of charge and you are not required to sign any exclusivity rights upon joining. Simply fill out the online form at http://www.affiliate-wire.com/affiliates/sign-up.html to create an account. Once you’re a member, you will get access to the web’s highest converting digital products and offers, high commissions, an optimized shopping cart with 100% sales tracking, industry-leading analytics tools, a full tutorial center and more.

How many AffiliateWire accounts can I have?

We do not restrict the number of accounts you can have, however, with our alias system there is no need to create multiple accounts.

I live outside North America, can I still be an affiliate?

Subject to review, we accept affiliate applications from all over the world. If you are having difficulties in signing up from your country, please contact us at signuphelp@revenuewire.com and we can individually review your application.

As a Canadian affiliate, is there any additional information that I need to provide to AffiliateWire?

We are a Canadian company, so there is no need to complete any American tax forms. If you make over $30,000 (please refer to http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/ for up to date income amount), you will need to register for a requisite GST number. AffiliateWire does need this number, and we currently process the GST payments to our affiliates on a quarterly basis.

Do I need to have my own website?

You have an option of either creating your own website or using any of the network landing pages to direct link to your campaign. The network landing pages are great ways to test traffic/keywords etc. and get a campaign up and running quickly. Once the campaign is up, we recommend creating a custom site using any of the boxshot images and graphics under Product Sales graphics in the dashboard.

* Keep in mind: Google will only show one ad per URL per search query. What this means for you is that your Google ad will not show for every relevant search if you are using a networking landing page, which means less traffic to your page.

Is the text content on the provided landing pages unique for me?

No, all landing page materials on the RevenueWire network are in template format as provided by the merchant.

Alias Questions

What is an alias? And how does it work?

On some legacy networks, tracking sales or hits originating from different campaigns or landing pages requires affiliates to create multiple affiliate accounts or use tracking IDs (subIDs) on the end of their links. The AffiliateWire Alias system allows you to create custom affiliate links using “aliases” or custom IDs. Additionally, you can enable and disable an alias at any time. A “Memo” field is also provided to help you later identify what a particular alias was used for, or where the alias link can be found on your sites. The “Memo” field is free-form and you can add any text you like.

To create an Alias ID, select the “Setup” tab and select “Alias Setup” from the sub-menu.

Once you’ve created an alias, by selecting “Get Links” for any product in the “Products” tab you’ll notice your alias affiliate links appear below the link containing your primary account ID. You can then cut-and-paste the link you’d like to use into your affiliate landing page.

Can I use a custom tracking code (subID) and an alias link together?

Yes. RevenueWire’s affiliate links support the use of both an alias name and a custom tracking code variable.

In a case where you choose to use both an Alias name and a custom tracking code, your link would look like this:

http://aliasid.merchansubid.revenuewire.net/productname?yourcustomcodehere

Combining Alias IDs and custom tracking codes can add an entirely new level of custom reporting possibilities to your sales tracking.

What happens if I “Disable” an Alias?

If you choose to disable an Alias link, you essentially just hide that ID from your “Get Links” page. If left in the wild, any links still using the disabled ID will continue to be tracked and show up in your sales table under the disabled alias.

Can merchants see my alias ID?

No. Merchants see only your primary affiliate account ID regard less of what alias is used. This ensures your custom tracking links remain private.

Promoting Products Questions

What kind of products does AffiliateWire offer?

RevenueWire offers digital products available by download or as a subscription service, with commissions up to 75% from top merchants in the software, forex, mobile and online marketing industries.

How do I find a product to promote?

Once you have logged into your account, select the ‘Products’ tab where you can review products listed for promotion by affiliates.

How do I know which products to promote?

Check out our product tab, which provides you with the list of all the products on the network, a brief description of the products including the Average Earning Per Sale. We recommend choosing a niche product from the catalogue that you already have an interest in and/or consider using the product before setting up your affiliate campaign.

Additionally, give special consideration to our 5 Newest Products and Featured Products displayed on the left side of the Product Catalogue. The 5 Newest Products are often brand new products to market, so you can usually benefit from any buzz surrounding the launch of these products. As new products, the market is often less saturated which can give you a great advantage. The Featured Products are handpicked as some of our highest converting products which often benefit from very good brand recognition.

I found a product I’m considering promoting, how do I get my affiliate links?

Simply log into your account once you’ve identified a product you’d like to promote and select “Get Links” next to the product name. You can then select “Get Link” beside any of the available direct download URLs or landing pages you would like to use. This link should be copied for use on your affiliate landing page or website.

I clicked the title above the landing page thumbnail, is what shows up in the address bar for the landing page my affiliate link?

No, to locate your personalized affiliate link, you must select ‘Get Link’ below the landing page thumbnail.

Why are there three different affiliate link URLs?

Depending on the merchant’s preference, a product may offer an affiliate link to the merchant home page, a direct download link for launching software downloads or trials directly from your affiliate landing page, or links directly to the merchant’s product registration (pre-cart) page. If one or more of these links is not shown, the merchant has opted not to offer that particular link.

How do I advertise my links?

As long as it is in keeping with our affiliate agreement, how you advertise your links is really up to you. Our affiliates use a variety of paid search, email marketing, banner ads and more.

How many products can I promote at one time?

You can promote as many products as you wish.

How can I make money with products that have free downloads?

The free download only allows the end user to scan their computer for a specific issue. In order to activate the software to actually repair the issue, the end user must purchase and register the product.

What incentives/contests/prizes are offered to affiliates?

There is often at least one contest running all the time for affiliates. Contests are often announced through ProductWire emails, and details are posted at http://www.affiliate-wire.com/contests/.

How can I demo a product or understand how it works?

To try out a product before making a decision on whether or not to promote it, talk to your affiliate manager about possibly arranging for a purchase/refund of the product in question.

How do I promote in other currencies?

When a merchant on the RevenueWire “Products” list has chosen to promote in currencies in addition to USD, a small currency symbol indicator will advise affiliates that a product is multi-currency friendly. Products offered in multiple currencies have a higher overall conversion rate and earnings-per-sale, so affiliates will want to keep an eye out for products featuring this symbol.

How can I get more information from a merchant regarding a product?

Please feel free to contact the affiliate managers via affiliates@revenuewire.com for any questions you might have regarding our featured products.

Tracking Questions

How does AffiliateWire track sales?

Our tracking system for sales works on three layers- IP address, 90-day cookies, and browser session. As such, our tracking system is incredibly reliable. We use a dynamic tracking pixel insertion system, so only your tracking pixel is ever on a sale that came through your affiliate links.

How do I set up my conversion tracking?

To enter your conversion tracking details, simply go to the “Setup” tab in your RevenueWire account interface, select “Conversion Tracking” and enter the conversion tracking numbers provided to you by the PPC search engine you’re working with. Select “More info” to see a detailed description of where each main PPC search platform displays your tracking number.

How do I add a tracking code to my hop-link (affiliate link)?

You can add alpha-numeric character string, up to 50 characters, to the end of your standard affiliate link by entering the variable followed by any characters you would like to use. By way of example, your standard affiliate link schema is displayed this way:

http://affiliateid.merchansubid.revenuewire.net/productname

If you were to add a unique tracking character (or subID) to your affiliate link your link would look like this:

http://affiliateid.merchansubid.revenuewire.net/productname?yourcustomcodehere

Note: You do not need to enter “?SUBID=” to the end of your affiliate link. Anything you enter after “?” is considering your custom code.

I have both Overture and Yahoo Panama tracking codes, can I use both? Which one should I use?

The Overture account interface has, for the most part, been migrated by Yahoo to the new Panama platform. Most affiliates will simply need to enter only their Yahoo Panama tracking code, leaving the Overture field blank. If you are still using Overture tracking scripts on your landing page, enter your Overture tracking code into the Overture box and leave the Yahoo box blank.

What is “Referral Tracking”?

If you choose, RevenueWire can display the landing page URL of origin for transactions displayed in the sales table. This information is logged based on the client’s browser, and as a result of browser redirection on their client PC due to malware or some other circumstance, the landing page URL or origin can not always be displayed.

NOTE: Referring landing page URLs are NOT visible to merchants.

If you choose not to have the referral data displayed, the RevenueWire transaction receipt number will be displayed in the sales table instead.

Sales Questions

What kind of data can be viewed on the Sales tab?

The Sales tab allows you to view individual transaction data specific to any time period you choose. It displays amounts and totals based on sales, refunds, chargebacks, or fees.

The Sales page data also includes the country and state of origin for a particular sale or refund, date and time information, as well as additional data such as the merchant name and product sold, commission amount, and any RevenueWire Alias used applicable to the affiliate link that was used.

If you have chosen to have RevenueWire display the referring landing page URL for your sales in the Sales tab, you will see the referring URL displayed to the far left of the sales table.

If you have not chosen to have RevenueWire display the referring landing page URL for your sales, the RevenueWire transaction receipt number is displayed.

What kind of data can be searched using the “Search” field?

When viewing sales data, the search field can help you quickly locate a particular transaction. You can enter any transaction-related query to locate a sale. For example, customer email address, order ID, zip or postal code, or first or last name.

Can I export Sales table data?

Yes. Above the sales table data on the right, you’ll notice icons that can be selected to export your data in CSV or XML format.

Is there any additional sales data exported via CSV or XML that is not visible via the sales table?

Yes. The CSV and XML exports include an additional column that displays any subID or unique tracking code that you add to the end of your affiliate link by adding the variable ? at the end of your link string followed by any alpha-numeric characters you like.

The characters or unique identifier that you have added at the end of your affiliate link will then be displayed on the data export file next to the transaction it was associated with.

How do I use the product sales graphics? Are there any specific guidelines for how these are used?

Product sales graphics have been provided by the product’s merchant. You may use them in accordance with that merchant’s terms and conditions. It is not acceptable to use one merchant’s product or button graphics to promote another merchant’s product.

Why can’t I see the end user’s personal information, including their email address?

Personal information associated with a product purchase is available only to the merchant whose product you are promoting. This information is restricted to uphold the merchant and RevenueWire network privacy policies.

Earnings and Payment Questions

How much can I earn?

There are three main factors that will determine this: 1) Your level of experience, 2) The amount of time you can dedicate, and 3) The money you have to invest in your affiliate business. Our top affiliates do receive payments from us for over 250K per month.

How often do I get paid and what payment options do I have?

Pay periods end on the 15th and last day of each month and payments will be issued within 15 days of the period end date, in US Dollars. Your paycheck will include sales up to and including the end of the pay period two weeks prior, less any refunds, chargebacks, or other charges incurred during the same pay period.

You can choose payment by ACH Direct Deposit, wire, cheque or PayPal. Please go to “setup”, then “payment setup”, and fill in the relevant information. For wire information, we need either a SWIFT Code or and ABA Routing number. Remember that the name on your wire or cheque must match that of your bank account.

Is there a minimum or maximum affiliate payout?

RevenueWire does not set a minimum affiliate commission rate or amount, but we do recommend that merchants be as competitive here as their business model will allow. For security reasons, the maximum commission amount an affiliate can earn for an individual sale on the RevenueWire network is $100.

There is a minimum of $100 threshold for any payment to our affiliates. You can set your threshold at $100, $500, $1000 or $10,000.

How are pay periods calculated?

By way of example, your paycheck on the 1st will include sales from the 1st to the 15th of the previous month, less any refunds, chargebacks, or other charges incurred up to one week after the end of the current pay period.

How are my earnings calculated?

Affiliate earnings are calculated based on net earnings after RevenueWire transaction fees:

(Example)

Product Sale Amount: $39.90
RevenueWire Transaction Fee: (6.95% + $1 USD) $3.77
Remaining Revenue: $36.13
Merchant Earnings: (25%) $ 9.03
Affiliate Commission: (75%) $27.10

Why does my paycheck have “Deductions”?

The Deduction column includes a refund protection buffer equal to a minimum of 10% of your net paycheck amount. This amount is held for 6 pay periods or 90 days to ensure future refunds are covered. After 6 pay periods, this deduction amount will be released as indicated in the “Release” column. Note: the refund protection percentage may be raised up to and including 100% as determined by the RevenueWire risk department.

What does “Balance” mean?

If your paycheck amount is not equal to or larger than the payment threshold amount you specified when creating your RevenueWire affiliate account, the amount is carried over into the “Balance” column to be added to your next paycheck.

What is AffiliateWire’s Refund/Chargeback policy?

RevenueWire will refund a purchase within 60 days. (RevenueWire may refund a purchase after the 60 day allotted period in order to avoid a chargeback at our discretion, as per Affiliate agreement, section 3.3.)

Is there a fee for paycheck wire transfers?

RevenueWire charges for wire transfer payments. Please contact your Affiliate Manager for more information

Do you issue tax forms?

We do not issue T4s or any other tax forms since we do not make any deductions from your payments. We recommend looking into your bank statements or dashboard to see your income earned.

How does AffiliateWire Credit two affiliates who planted cookies on the same end user?

The last affiliate cookie that’s planted receives the credit for the s

Account Questions

How do I change my password?

You can change your password at any time by selecting the “profile” link on the top right of your screen. On the resulting page, select the “change” link and enter your new password.

How can I change the account id name in my tracking code?

Once your account has been created you cannot change your account ID. RevenueWire allows you to create “alias” account IDs that can be used for specific tracking purposes.

Why don’t I see any stats when I log in to my account for the first time? Why don’t the charts contain any data?

Sales statistics and charts do not reveal any data until you select and begin promoting a product on the RevenueWire network. Once your sales commence, you’ll be able to track your progress in real time via the Dashboard.

What do I do if I don’t know all the details for the banking information section?

If you have any questions about what to enter in each field, the information can be obtained from your banking institution. RevenueWire does not have access to specific bank routing information. Please ensure you enter this information carefully, even a small error in these fields can delay the receipt of your wire transfer.

Why can’t I change the state or province details in the payment setup area?

If you have selected “Check” as your payment preference, we will mail your checks to the address you used when signing up for RevenueWire. This information can be edited on the “Account Setup” tab.
