Which Links to Use and When to Use Them
On each product page in your account there are up to 4 different link types for you to choose from:
From left to right, the first URL you’ll see is the Direct Merchant site URL. By using this link type you can link directly to the merchant site and get credit for the sale without having to create your own landing page or website. However, it will only be provided if the merchant is SafeCart Certified, meaning that SafeCart is their only payment processor. This ensures that you never lose commission for your referrals. ParetoLogic is a good example of a merchant that is SafeCart Certified, so you will find a Direct Merchant Site URL for most of their products. If a product does not have a Direct Merchant Site URL available, you can link to one of the network landing pages for that product to avoid building your own website or landing page.
The next link is the Direct Download URL, which can be considered the ‘hook model” URL discussed previously. It’s typically used in the “Download Now” button on the affiliate site that will launch the download for the free scan portion of the product.
The next URL that is available for almost all products in the catalogue is the Direct Registration URL. This is the “direct buy” link for affiliates who have a direct buy button on their site, but we always recommend using the ‘hook model’ approach in this case because it converts significantly higher.
The last link type is Create Custom Affiliate Link, which involves using your own URL and hosting downloads from your own server. This method has proven to produce higher revenue for affiliates. To learn more about Creating your Custom Affiliate Link, read this article.
